Our lab laser writing the batch, dates and GS1 QR code onto the carton. Production CO₂ lasers mark the same information in around 120 ms, on the fly, as packs move down the production line (timing from independent lab trials).
- A clear coating turns white under a standard CO₂ laser: the code is written onto the carton itself, with no label and no ink.
- The QR carries the batch, the expiry date and a web link (GS1 Digital Link), data that only exists at the filling line.
- Read by an ordinary phone scanner as quickly as the printed barcode, ready for GS1 Sunrise 2027.
